Debra's Story
I guess the older I get the more nostalgic I get! I am always curious what other people are doing so here is an update on me: I married Mike Lovelace (class of 70) after I graduated from Kenwood. He was in the Air Force and we spent the next 19 years traveling around. After his 20 years were up Mike retired from the Air Force in 1990 and we moved to San Antonio, TX. Mike was in the Defense Industry & his job moved us to Palm Bay, FL in 2001. All of our family except my brother Billy live in MD so we still go back there to visit. We adopted our daughter Melissa when she was 16 years old & 6 months later our son Josh was born. Melissa has 1 son named Gage & I am proud to say he is in the Air Force stationed in England. n I ever was! I lost my long blonde hair when I went through chemo & radiation for breast cancer in 2006. I was five years cancer free this past October. Praise God! Josh married in 2006 & his son Logan was born in May 2008. In December of the same year they were in a car accident & Josh's wife Ashley & Logan were killed. This left a huge void in our life but we have 8 "adopted" kids who consider us their grandma & grandpa.After Mike was laid off in 2009 we opened a gun store in West Melbourne, FL. We are celebrating our 3 year anniversary this month. My sister said she never thought I would be a "pistol packing mamma"! I will post some pictures when I figure out how. I am electronically challenged! That's when a son with a degree in Electrical Engineering comes in handy! Would love to hear from everybody!
