Douglas's Story
Life
I was born in Boise, Idaho, on October 24th, 1978, and raised in New Meadows, Idaho. I graduated from High school in 1997 on may 31st. I have always been a harpsichord and classical music fan. I received my first degree Black Belt on November 13th 1998, and my second degree Black Belt on November 3rd 2001. between May 31st 1997 and March 1st 1998, I travelled through the majority of the western U.S. On May 9th, 1998, I was hired to Paul's Market, and still work there today. I got married on August ninth 2003 to a beautiful woman with a heart of gold. I successfully promoted to third degree black belt on june 4th 2004. Erica and I had our first baby on january 26th 2005. We called her Emily. She is the cutest baby in the world, and was 19 1/2 inches long and 6 pounds at birth. Now, (april 2006) she is 2 1/2 feet tall and running at 14 months. She is a very active baby, and very vocal. It is mow december 31st, 2007, and Emily will be 3 on january 26th. She is a very smart cookie. She has the vocabulary and communication skills of a five year old. I am still the same person I was in 2006, a boring clerk at a grocery store, whose life is unfortunately going, nowhere. ...Expand for more
I am still happily married and teaching Taekwondo, so that is at least a plus, in a dark dreary world. My wife, erica is cuter than ever. Other than that though, there is nothing special to report. More later.
Workplace
What can I say? I bag groceries at Paul's market. I have worked there for over 8 years, and there is virtually no room for advancement, so some day I will have to move on. I do not wish to bag groceries all of my life. I am also teaching Taekwondo. I am the Head Instructor at McCall Taekwondo. Things are going very well. All of my students bring home a bunch of medals from tournaments. I don't do too badly at tournaments either, and usually get medals too. Most of my students have great potential for black belt. I have around 20 students, which isn't bad at all for an area as small as McCall. In 2008, I will be eligible for my next taekwondo promotion. I have plans to at least to become a master, or 5th degree black belt, but it will be five years from my next promotion, IF I pass all of my tests the first time. I also have plans to become a 9th degree black belt. That will, however take a long time. I will be at least 60 by that time. More later.
