Delaina's Story
I never stood out because of being shy & quiet in school except in gym because I was a gym leader. Took business courses & journalism, which I loved. I dated someone from a west side school so never dated anyone from East High. Started working in an office for Irwin P. Metzenbaum the Monday after graduation. Married July of 64' but was divorced 7 years later. I had 3 beautiful children who produced 10 grand-children & will have my 7th. great grandchild in May (loving this). Met someone in 78' & remarried in 79', but have been a widow since 2004.
My mother was my biggest hero. She was always a wonderful human being, but she became a Minister at age 50 & being true to God, herself, family & everyone who knew her she lived as she .ministered.

her to Alzheimers in 2001 & being out of commission for many years due to health problems, I decided a year ago to start my life over & am now glad to say that I'm happier than I've been a very long time.
Started playing tennis in 1982 & played until 1997 when due to back injuries, I had to stop playing. However, I was very active in the NEOTA, captained teams, co-ordinated 3.0 women's teams & mixed doubles. I really loved the game & being involved, but gave it all up when my mom became ill in 1999.
Recently started working again & reconnected (talking) with someone that I dated almost 40 years ago.
Many parts of my life have been beautiful & some very ugly, but now I strive to make to make each day better than the last one & to smile no matter what happens.
