Lucy's Story
Life
Born in 1954. I have 3 kids and 6 grandkids. My kids are 38, 37 and 35 years old. I have 2 girls and 1 boy. I have 3 grandsons and 3 granddaughters, ages 2, 10, 11, 13, 14, and 16. I retired 4 years ago. I love retirement. I am currently dating, but nothing serious. For fun I enjoy whitewater rafting. I also go to pow-wows whenever possible. I love to workout, but I also love to eat which makes it impossible to keep my weight down. Dancing and music have to be my greatest enjoyment and forms of relaxation. It used to be reading, but now I fall asleep when I read. I enjoy everyday as much as I can. I really like being this age because I no longer care what people think. nt to me. They keep me sane but also cause a little bit of the insanity. I have learned to appreciate life so much more. I make sure I live for the moment. I lost my younger brother Darius in 2011. No one ever knows when their time is going to be up. I miss him everyday. He taught me never to take life for granted.
I love the fact that my grandchildren ask me my opinion and really want to know how I feel. They know me as the rebel in the family. I make sure they know that it is important to learn from and listen to their parents. They should also enjoy their youth while they can because the years rush by and you can never go back. I am happy with who I have become. There's always room for improvement and I keep an open mind. I think I would like the rest of my life to be an adventure.
