Delores's Story
Life
Graduated from Nursing School, worked all over the country.
I live on a ranch in Eastern Washington, raise Llamas, and
various other creatures. Like old Buicks, restored 1969
Wildcat last year, currently restoring 1951 Special. I sew, upholster cars, quilt, am a spinner and finishing up raising a granddaughter who will start her Senior year of high school next fall. I came home to Yuba City briefly to allow my father to die at home as he wished. Stayed a little over a year and then returned to Washington.
My nursing careet has taken me in many fields, PICU, ICU,CCU,Psych.and has ended with a back injury last Sept that will make it impossible to return to work. I will remain in Washington I think. I have one daughter who is a nurse and lives in Yuba City, my eldest granddaughter graduated from YC last June.

I got paid answer phones to keep me busy in Summers. What I remember most about it is learning the Sheet Metal Business and to make flashing on the equipment.
Gray Poole is my oldest friend from freshman year of high school. He was my first love, we reconnected and he will be my last love.
I always wanted to be a fiber artist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a bad idea. As it turns out, they were wrong I have done a lot of the fiber arts and still do with my quilting now, I have been sa part owner of a few galleries in my life time. Old Sacramento in the 1970's..
In 10 years, I hope to be still be here.. I'm going to get there by hook or crook and still be madley in love.
No trophies on my mantel, no mantel. But did get scholarship in Nursing school for being the most outstanding student, last year before graduation,
I share my home with the love of my life, two dogs and two cats, which I find makes me very happy and contented.
