Delores's Story
Hi all, when I left Miami Jackson, I went into the Marine Corps and spent 2 years serving my country and protecting the freedom of all.
After the Marines I came back to Hialeah where I lived and my first job was at the Pizza Palace on Hialeah Drive and was a car hop. Yep short skirts, trays on the cars and flirting with the clientel.
At 26 I married a guy who I met through a computer dating service. I was married about 8 1/2 years and have a great son, Norman Edward Day, "NED".
My second husband came in the sceen several years later...Expand for more
and was the love of my life. We were married for 29 years and I lost him in August of 2011, to enphasema and lung cancer. I was step-mom to his 3 children who all lived in Ohio. I have 5 grand children and one great grand daughter.
My son lives close by and we visit often.
I have a new man in my life and those of you who attend the reunion will meet him. He, like me, is widowed and also a Marine. We get along very well and have much in common. We are going slow, as we should and enjoying ourselves as we do life.
