Delores's Story
Life
As the song goes..."what long strange trip it's been!" I moved to LA in the Fall after graduation to work for Delta Airlines, great pay and wonderful travel benefits. I made some lifelong friends during those first years in LA. I spent 5 years with Delta - but the 60's were calling me so I quit and then after a year or so of hanging around I joined the editorial staff of Rolling Stone magazine. I worked with some of the great writers of that time and saw every rock n roll band there was to be seen and had a great time.

ng to San Diego where my parents lived.
A year later I met Danny Schoffman, fell in love and traveled with him to Mexico for half a year (visas good for 6 months). He was from Berkeley so we returned there to live, at the time I was 3 months pregnant. Unfortunately, he died of a heart attack within one month of our return so he never lived to meet our daughter.
I moved back to Marin county when I was pregnant and have lived here ever since. My daughter, Danielle, is now 21 and a Senior at Stanford university. She is a fabulous person, beautiful and very smart. She wants to be a doctor.
I got a later start than most of you on this family thing - but I love "IT". Life is good.
I look forward to hearing your stories...
