Steve's Story
Life
The picture came from a singing gig with my quartet July 12 05. (before Katrina) We measure most things in life as "before Katrina" or "after Katrina", since many friends lost everything in the storm. We had visited New Orleans in June for a wedding, and 2 months later the city was wiped out. Susan's mom and brother came to live in L. A. a week after the storm, and we had a hell of a time getting them out. Many friends stepped up and got them to Houston, where they got a ride to California on a private jet.
Life moves on, I am the Revenue Collections Supervisor for the city of Santa Monica, (responsible for scheduling parking meter collections and counting), was elected President of our union for '09, (900 members), oversaw a board of ten members. I left the barbershop chorus and quartet in July 08, and auditioned for a larger group, called Angel City Chorale.

The Chorale consists of 140 members, and we do two major shows a year, spring and Holiday. The music is extremely challenging, and has made my singing take on a more professional tone. The Barbershop chorus seemed to stay in one place and no one worked to get better.
My wife Susan and I live in West Los Angeles, with several cats, in a neighborhood by the 10 freeway. We are close to Hollywood, the beach, Beverly Hills, and most importantly... WORK.
I would like to see a 35 year reunion come together, since we haven't been able to put one together in years. I have had experience in putting a large event together, and would like to see it come about for all of us. Anyone that has ideas or wants to help make it a reality, please drop me a line through Classmates, I'll get back to you!
My mom passed away in 2009, but I plan on a visit next year, my brother and some friends are stll there.
