Denise's Story
Life
At age 58, life is wonderful; I am so blessed. I am married to a wonderful man with whom I just celebrated my 18th anniversary. Our life together reminds me of Kenny Rogers song, "Through The Years". We have experienced in our 18 years as much, if not more, than most experience in a lifetime. We have been able to blend our families and all of us consider each our family, no mention of the word "step". So blessed.
I continue to work in the same dental office as I have for 36 years. We are more like family than co workers and my patients are also my extended family. I've watched the children of my patients grow up, have their own children which are now also my patients. I truly care about all of them and their lives.
My 4 children have grown up and have blessed us with 9 grandchildren, soon to be 10 in August 2014.
My oldest, Daniel, has transitioned out of active duty in the navy, currently having the rank of Lt. Commander. He is in the inactive reserves at the moment until he receives his Professional Global MBA from UNC. He is working full time in the natural gas industry and living in Horseheads, NY with his wife, son (7) and daughter (5) and soon to be ...Expand for more
blessed with baby # 3 in August. We are so proud of he & his family.
Heather is next in line and lives in Aylett, VA with her husband and 3 children, 2 sons (9 & 4) and a daughter (8). She blesses families ever day by helping to deliver their blessings (children) as she works as a labor & delivery RN at Regional Memorial. So proud!
Third in line is Kevin, who lives in Manassas with his wife and daughter (10 months). He is a surveyor that is about to become fully accredited, an 8 year process even after a 4 year bachelors degree. Again,
so proud of him.
And my baby, Scott, just married his wife in a beautiful river wedding last June. This union blessed me with 2 more grandchildren as they met through of their children. His son and her son & daughter are very close in age and had many of the same friends. The rest is history. They together also blended families and now live in Aylett, VA with 2 sons ( 7 & 8 ) and a daughter (7). She is going back to school to become a nurse & I truly believe it is her calling. Scott continues to work for the same company and is so talented as a heavy equipment operator. He makes us so proud.
My cup runneth over with blessings!!!
