Life
Hey:
Moved to Fl. in 78 and never left. Best decision of my life. Became a Gator and graduated in '81. Married my HS sweetheart in 82...Rick. He began law school two weeks after we married. I finished my Masters in Counseling Psychology at the same time he finished law school. Little Rick was born 5 hours after Rick finished the Bar exam.... Two years later, Matthew was born. I worked several years in foster care. These are the kids that speak to me. Lauren was born in Dec. of 1990. It was time for me to take some time off. Rick had been working in the Public Defenders office until then. He began his private practice at this time. Life has been wonderful for our family. Being a Mom and a wife was the greatest experience of my life.

ve and "outside the box"; and our daughter a sophmore in high school. She seems to have gleamed the best characteristics of each of her brothers. Very independent, studious, personable and goal oriented.
Rick and I will celebrate 25 years of marraige this summer. He has been a true blessing to me and to many others. A year and a half ago, I entered the workforce a second time as a guidance counselor in a Title 1 school (impoverished). I am home now. I am getting my certification in a couple of months. Anyone who REALLY knew me will know that working with kids from dyfunctional homes is really where I belong. Every day is a challenge. I have the opportunity to impress upon kids who are abused, neglected, or just overlooked that they are bigger than their problems. They can choose to be resilient. They can choose to succeed. They can choose to be who they were meant to be.
