Denise's Story
I lived with bothers and sister and my mom after high school. My siblings all went off and got married. I lived with mom and with my income and her social sucurty we managed. She died in 1988 leaviing me house.
I moved to my first appartment at age 44. I meet and evenually moved in with Steve the love of my life. In 2000 we bought a house in the Brookhave area.
I lost my sister Beverly in a car accident in 1994. I lost my sister-in-law Linda to cancer in 2006. This past April (a week before my birthday) I lost Steven to a Diabete comma he never regainded consiouness and his blood sugar was over 2,000.
I am getting along even though learning how to take care of a House is difficult alone. I am learning all of Steve's chores. I almost killed 2 of his plants so I got rid of his fish (not tanks yet) so I did not kill them accidentally. I am lon...Expand for more
ely at times but I know I have friends.
My brother Dale (class of 71) moved in with me because in past 6 years he has lost a wife, a job, unemployment and last his house so I invited him to move in with me. He does a lot around the house and trys to solve problem around the house ( water mostly). His reunion was in July 2011. I bought a new lawnmower and he like Steve will not let me use the lawnmower.
I am experiencing for the first real time baby sitting. My niece has twin boys 10 months old an a 3 1/2 year brother and a 9 year old sister. I get up a 7:15 am and go over to her place and this is new in that I have been doing it for 4 weeks 5 days a week ( Boy I am I tired a lot ) I have babysitted by nieces but that was when they were older. I had them for part of a day or overnight I took them back to there parents but this is harder and I am older.
