I went to Banning from 1967-1970. I was thin and tall and crazy. I loved to laugh and had friends from Carson, Wilmington and Harbor City. I grew up in Del Amo Highland which was a track of homes and we were bussed to Banning. I was a protestor of the War, I helped change the dress code at that time the girl only could wear dresses. I had such skinny legs and was so tall I always got in trouble for my dress being more then 2" above my knees. So Ms Van Kurt (I think that was her name) was always calling my Mother to pick me up cause my dress was to short. So I protested and the dress code was changed. I also hung with Jackie Bowman, Sharon Rice, Carolina Stallworth and Debbie Hatchet. The Click. But I also had outside friends and never had problems like some of my friends.
