Denise's Story

Hello Classmates!
It has probably been quite awhile since I have seen or spoken to most of you! I sure miss everyone and think of you and New Castle, often. Of course, 'those were the days', right? My stories of New Castle have traveled with me to such places as: Steubenville Ohio, Houston Texas, Baton Rouge LA, LaBelle Florida, Wellington Florida and finally I have been calling Jupiter Florida, my home! It is a wonderful, little coastal town north of Palm Beach and I have lived and worked here for over 20 years!
My passion and seniority has been in the Arts. I have been teaching adult to middle and high school education for 29 years! After hours, I teach Language Arts and Reading to students that are failing, coach swimming and sponsor the photo club! Well, that's enough about WORK; let's talk about children and changes!
I know some of you are grandparents, but if you know me, you know I was a late bloomer... my daughter; Victoria just turned 13 years old! She keeps me moving and involved and that seems to be most ...Expand for more
of my life, but....things have been changing lately! Victoria's dad and I were married for over 11 years, and divorced for close to 6 years. He is involved in her life and helps out. My daughter is getting older and I am finding that I have more time to myself, and a new outlook on life. I don't know if it is my age or circumstance but I am starting to have more of a well-rounded life with a little more 'me time' and it feels good. WOW! Playing tennis and swimming again, who would of thought!
Well, I don't know if anyone will be reading this, but I want you to know that even though I live in Florida, New Castle is still home to me, that will never change! I do visit often and I do see my best friends but I miss everyone and all the 'old times' and memories'! On my last few visits I enjoyed the new restaurants and 'clubs'! What fun and... what great progress!
Write if you can and let me know what is going on in your life. I hear alot from my friends and family but would enjoy catching up with you!
