Denise's Story
Life
Received my Masters Degree in Nursing and license as a Family Nurse Practitioner in December 1997. Have been employed at the Rensselaer County Department of Health since 1983 in various positions. I began as a home health aide and have achieved the Public Health Director position for Rensselaer County in 1999. I have 7 children (two of which are stepchildren). Park. Although I work full time at the health department I also work for Community Hospice of Rensselaer County because I believe in their mission statement and want to be a part of the important work they do as well as give back to the community.
College
Although I began at Sage JCA in 1978 I did not complete college, I ended after the first year ans married. I returned to school at HVCC in 1983 part time and continued onto Sage College for my BS and MS all while working fulltime with children.
