Denise's Story
Well, a lot has changed since 1974 and a lot remains the same. Still here in SM never got out! LOL Been married for 32 years now and have 4 great kids. We are two down and two to go with the youngest at ERHS now. Also, was blessed with a wonderful step-son.
Been fortunate to be able to stay home with the kids for the past 10 years and keep busy with projects. Taking wood shop at ERHS was one of the best choices of electives I ever took. It is a bit of a curse too as I have quite a few projects half finished over the past couple of years. Got to get those finished some day, especially the wall I ripped out in my bathroom! LOL
My biggest interest now is a "classic glass" boat group I head up for the state of California. I have been doing since 2002 and we now have our own website which I am in charge of. Funny, I don't know diddly about websites! But I do know about old fiberglass boats from the 1950's and 60's and how to replace a floor in an old boat.
We get together several times a year for camping and boating all over the state. Best group of people you could ever...Expand for more
meet. My Dad would have loved this stuff, sure wish he was still here. He died in 1980 in a boating accident at Cachuma Lake at the age of 46. I still miss him terribly. However, I feel close to him when I am on the water and know he is looking down ever so proud his daughter could rope start a 1966 Johnson 80hp outboard! Ok, so haven¿t done it now in a few years and wonder if I still could. Getting old sucks!
Still best friends with Sharon Smith¿¿she moved back to CA 3 years ago and we are still the best of friends! She left out of CA when we were 19 living most of those years in CO. It is great to have her back and we still giggle and laugh like we did when we were 9 except we don¿t laugh so hard we pee our pants! LOL I guess that might change as we get older as George Carlin use to say! HeHe
Well, that kinda catches anyone who is interested what I have been up to of late. Not a supporter here so can only reply public messages for the most part.

P.S. If you have an old fiberglass boat, check out our CA group Golden State Glassics and join the fun!
