Denise's Story
I am a 38 year old mom of four gorgeous and intelligent children. I work very hard to keep myself in shape. I jog and work out at the gym. The problem is age is catching up to me. Wow, I never thought I would be saying that, but it hurts. I really thought that I wouldn't slow down until my fifties, but here I am pushing forty and having to guilt myself into the gym. I tell myself stuff like "it is only you, you're cheatn'" when I don't want to make that last fifteen minutes of spin class. I am seeing wrinkles and realize there really aint no turnin' back. My buddy "not so hot mama" says I need to stop talking that way, to stay young is to feel and live young. I could not be more proud of the children I have raised, so therefore, each wrinkle is a trophy to be displayed with a smile. A great depth of gratitude I have that God allowed me the privilege to be called "MOM". Oh there are things I wished I would have finished like school and a career with retirement, but this choice has a different end. My investments have GREAT RETURN and the best retirement there is to offer.
I am a believer and lover of our Lord Jesus Christ. I don't believe in religion and there is no true right one, the understanding and practicing of God's word is the only one truth. My Lord knows that I fall short of the Glory and still He loves me, so much that he sent his Son to die so, that I may join him some day.
