Denise's Story
Hi,
I am Denise (Salcido) Espinosa. I am 53 years young and I feel great! I grew up in East San Jose California and I'm still very at home there. I have lived in Los Angeles, Lahaina Hawaii, Fresno, California and Fair Oaks Cali, as well. I must admit that some of those towns are very nice towns but my heart is full of love for the eastside, still. My parents still live in the home we grew up in and although it was a tiny house by today's standards it housed and was home to many many people. I am second oldest of the Salcido sisters but was one of the last to have grandchildren for my parents. I married at age 21 and am still married to David Espinosa now almost 32 years later. ife. I was blessed with amazing,wonderful and loving parents who guided me and nurtured me with all their heart and soul. I realize I could never be as good as them but I have tried my best to emulate them as much as possible. Being married is another blessing that has been mine. Today I think 21 is too young to marry but when I did it I was ready to start my life with Dave and I can say with all my heart he was the right guy for me and still is! We have had some crazy fun times, and some very stressed times but through it all I have felt very loved and protected. My children grew up so fast (not a blessing) but I loved every minute of it, as they brought me so much joy and happiness. Now my own grandson is doing the same thing and I feel so young and energized and happy to be alive with him. I am truly a blessed woman raised on the eastside!
