Life
I graduated high school in June 1974 and got married to my wonderful husband Herbert Parker III (who graduated with me) in August 1974. We will be married 33 years in Aug. 2007. We started working with normal and multi handicapped children in 1976 after my husband did 2 years in the Army. e Karitas Care Center in Palatine Illinois, Sunland Exceptional School in Ft. Myers, Fl, and as our own foster home in South Daytona, Fl where we are still operating 16 years later. We adopted Robyn in 1985, had Leila in 1987, adopted Shawn in 1994, and Julian in 2002. We've had our foster child Heather since 1992 when she turned 12, and Makita since 1996 when she turned 7. My husband and I both work at home and was able to raise our kids ourselves, which has been a blessing.
