After highschool I attended FSU for 6 years finishing with my MS in Speech Language Pathology. FSU is where I also met my husband Chad during my junior year. I worked in Orlando as an SLP at an elementary school for a year after graduation from FSU; then we got hitched in 01'!! Chad is a medical service officer in the Army and we were stationed in Italy 3 short months after getting married. I wasn't happy about it at first, but what an amazing experience that ended up being! We had an incredible time and got to do things we never would have done otherwise. In 2004 we moved to Ft Campbell, KY (living in Tennessee) -where I was one of 8 speech therapists at one of the schools on post for a couple of years and then became a director for the Pampered Chef. non-deployable job with special forces command and really enjoying the work and schedule! We figured he could use a break after 3 - 1 year deployments!! He just got accepted for the army's masters program where he will be going to school for the next couple of years to get his MBA in supply chain managment. He should find out soon if he got into Chapel Hill for school! I am currently working at an Omni Health and Fitness and Health Plex as a group fitness instructor teaching Body Pump, Spin, Pilates, HEAT (bootcamp/sports conditioning class).....and about anything else they need me for! (I guess I forgot to mention that I have also been a Group X instructor and personal trainer for 10 years now!!). Fitness is really my passion - and I think it's what has helped me make it thru 3 deployments and losing my dad a couple of years ago. My most recent accomplishments (and by far the hardest thing I have done and the most proud of) have been competing in local and national fitness competitions this past year (2010). It was my first year ever doing something like that I took 2nd place in my first 2 bikini competitions, 5th in my first figure competition (more muscular and more competitive division) and 11th over all in my first national competition for figure. WOW......what a year 2010 was! I am hooked on figure competing. I have been off season training since June and now am ready to hit the stage again in April!!! Wish me luck :)".
