Well forty yrs where do you begin. After Grad I spent my first summer traveling,my friend David Meade and I drove to New York in my 66 Mustang, yep Route 66 all the way. Quite an experience and a few tickets along the way.Was strange to see some of the states in the mid west, but we were anxious to see the Big Apple and find out what all the Hoopla was about.gas was 39 cents a gallon and you could still get fast food for under a dollar including a cold soda. We didn't spend much money on hotels, lots of sleeping in the car and sleeping bags. Then we left New York and took the southern route stopping in Chicago, then headed to Fla, and down south. That was an experience in its self, not anything like our western roots, no beaches, no surfing, and we felt quite out of place.Once back in Ca it was time to buckle down and see what the future held for me.
