Life
Well the update is that Jane and I have now been married for almost 24 years and our son, Scott is now 20 years old and quit college and joined the Navy. He was taking his physical on Sept. 11. He is in the SeaBees and training to be a heavy equipment operator. Our daughter, Katie will be 16 in 2 weeks so stay off the roads for a while. She's agood kid and not sure what she wants to do yet. I'm still a Union Carpenter and Jane is a P.A.T. parent educater. Russ Schnell and I are headed out this weekend to Oklahoma to snag for spoonbill. He has 3 kids and they are all alot of fun to be around. Well I guess we will see you all at the 30th reunion. Liz Clifton e-mailed me about it. Can you believe it's been 29 years. Man I feel old.
Wow it's been 3 years since I updated. I'm still at TMC and Jane and I have been married 27 years. We went to England and Ireland this summer. Scott married an English girl and the wedding was there. After the wedding we went on to Liverpool where we went to the Cavern Club and saw the stage where the Beatles got their start. Then on to Ireland where I really enjoyed the people and the pubs. They are the friendliest people you'd ever want to meet. Katie graduated from high school and works at Walmart. Scott and his new wife are stationed in Gulfport Miss. They lost everything in Katrina. ll there wedding gifts and even her wedding dress but they got out in time and are safe. We went down and got her the Friday after the storm hit. We had another new experience, we spent the night in a hurricane shelter on cots with 660 other people. The devistation is complete down there. It is really sad. Scott and Georgina did have renters insurance and the insurance company has already paid them. Other than all that Russ and I are getting ready for another hunting season.
Workplace
After Graduation I worked at Sears for one year and then went in the Navy. I did 4 years in the Navy as a jet engine mechanic and plane captain(those guys you see with the wands directing aircraft on the ground or ship). I went back to work for Sears after the Navy for 2 years. Then was a mail carrier for 2 years, and I understand people going postal. Then bought into a campground and canoe rental on the Jack's Fork river. Was a great time until the Federal Gov't. put us out of business(very long story). Then entered the Carpenter's Apprenticeship in K.C. and have been a Union Carpenter ever since. If you have been to Science City you have seen some of my work. I helped build pretty much every display in it. Now work in the Truman Med Center West carpenter shop. I really enjoy it. Only 9 more years to retirement and I'm sure I'll enjoy that too.
