Dennis's Story
Attended when Birmingham was a Jr High/Sr High predominately hanging out with the surfers & hot rodders but was across the board in many respects.
Out of perhaps stupidity I didn't graduate with my class which would have been in Feb 1967 but instead graduated from summer school in 1966 (taking my last to classes at Grant High School). It was stupid graduating early because my friends were all still in school (except those that were suspended or expelled - LOL).
Hung out at June Ellens with the bikers (which explains the Harley I ride today) and like many of us spent a lot of time partying at the Valley Teen Center on Victory Blvd (still there?) and even played (guitar)there with The Red Vial and the Stovepipe Roof (we won the battle of the bands once).

4000 as I recall, and so it is hard to remember who I knew and who I didn't know. I'm sure others have the same problem. So if you were there in the 1960's drop me a line.
Anyone remember the concert on May 17, 1967 with the Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Iron Butterfly, Its A Beautiful Day, and the Peanut Butter Conspiracy etc???
After Garduation:
Attended Pierce College for 1/2 year, worked, and was drafted. Went to Vietnam and came home to protest the war. Became a freak, lived at the Trade Winds Apartments (natorious in 1971-74) and worked at the Forbidden Fruit on Reseda Blvd. Did some roadie work for Bill Walker and Joint Productions with groups like Deep Purple, Rod Stewart, and many others. It was pretty cool. Got married and divorced... didn't we all?
