Dennis's Story
I joined the U.S.Navy in 1958 while still in High School when I graduated in 1959, I went off to recruit training in San Diego, from there I went on orders to Jacksonville ,Florida, Where I met a lot of wondeful people, lots of freinds, and plenty of girlfreinds who owned cars. I met a nice lady who was strill; in H.S. who played Powderpuff football, who asked me to her senior prom. Lots of Military people at this Prom including Army Cadets and cadets from naval academy , it was a wonderful ordeal. I almost married this young lady but decided I didnt make enough money to support any family. This Lady I was seeing for over two years was a true southern Bell from Alabama, but she grew up in Florida. I reeinlisted and got sent to Lemoore California to a master Jet base where I wastrained to work on the A4skyhawk. the outfit I was assigned to was stationed on a attack aircraft carrier the USS Ranger CVA 61,

ere, I made First Class Aviation Structures Mechanic at the height of the Viet Nan war while stationed on the USS, Constellation CVA64 in 1968, eventually ended up in Yuma Arizona serving with the U.S. Marines at the Jet air base as a non destructive testing technician and corrosion control specialist. I came here in 1978 retired in 1980, entered Junior College went off and on for eight years till I finishe with a associates in industrial technology, I worked for the U.S Army for a while in the Oils Testing Laboratory where they were testing lubricant in the hot enviroment on the weapons they used in the mid east warfare, Retired fully i 1993, I now build and repair musical instruments as a hobbby I play the Fiddle, the guitar and the Mandolin, I sing Karaoke at the local Moose Lodge and I like to dance country swing when I can scare up a gal to dance with. I live alone with my cat and my big garden in the backyard, I grow lots of tomatoes, come over and see me sometime...............Dennis
