Hello Classmates, I have had a very interesting life since High School. Wanda Cain and I married less than a year after I graduated. We went on to have 3 sons and now have 6 grandchildren. Wanda and I were married for 33 years and then divorced in 2007. Wanda just did not want to be married anymore. I became a Police Officer in 1979 for the City of Rawlins Wyoming. Wanda and I spent 2 1/2 years in Rawlins before returning to Marina where I became a Marina Police Officer. I was a Police Officer in Marina for 5 years and then I transferred down to the Oceanside California Police Department near San Diego where I spent the rest of my career. Being a Police Officer in a big city in Southern California was a real experience. Lots of gangs, drugs and crime. I think I saw everything possible working down there. Lot's of stories to tell. The last 10 years of my career I was a Police Motorcycle Officer. THE BEST JOB ON THE DEPARTMENT. I got to ride a motorcycle on the beach in Southern California and get paid for it. I LOVED IT. Then came March 11, 1998. I was on duty on my motorcycle when a hit & run suspect shot me in the face with a .38 caliber handgun. The bullet hit me on the right cheekbone.
