Dennis's Story
Went into the Army out of high school for Nike missile repair. They were in Fairbanks Alaska. Two winters, one flood and one earth quake later they sent me to Fort Bliss Texas to warm up. The day I got out of the Army I married my first wife and shortly after started working for American Airlines. We moved back to the Washington Area because I was now working a Dulles Airport. ille from Sterling. I was at work the morning of 9/11. It was like being in English Class the day JFJ was shot. The next major event was to lose my wife of 36 years to cancer. I met my second wife on line and we went to Maui for our honeymoon. American Airlines filed chapter 11 and I was to be laid off after 44 years so it was time to retire. We now live in West Virginia away from the rush. The stories I can tell about the years at the airports.
