Life When I graduated from El Rancho, way back in the day, I thought that I was all grown up and knew exactly where I was going and what I wanted to do. Well, when I turned 22, I awoke to the grim realization that not only did I have no idea what I was doing but also that I was lost on where I was going and who I was. Talk about a reality check. At that moment, I was introduced to the life changing philosophy that life, in all it's wisdom, would show me the way if I only slowed down enough to see the path. Well, being the high strung character I am, slowing down was the last thing I was ready to do. After many years of living in the proverbial fast lane, I heeded the philsosphical advice and went back to college. As it stands, I have a BA in Psychology, a Teaching Credential in Special Education, and I am currently persuing a Master's in Special Education. As I sit here today and ponder why I chose a most difficult path to venture down, I surmise that maybe, just maybe, by struggling through that last 6 years of being a full time student, full time mother, part time Instructional Aide, and full time wife, I have been able to give my children the opportunity to see first hand what it is that all of our moms and dads tried to convey to us as teens.
