Derek's Story
Life
After High School graduation, my family moved to Auburn, Washington. I began attending Green River Community College, spent two years as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in France and Belgium, returned, went to BYU and finally got a Bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Washington. Married Kris Carson in February of '86.

We moved to Redmond, Oregon, a small town of about 10,000 in 1995. I am currently working in private practice and having a wonderful time.
We have 5 children (4 boys, 1 girl).The latest was born 8/00. Between work, family activities, church service and serving on Hospital Medical Staff committees, things are pretty busy. Life is more wonderful than I could have ever imagined. Many thanks to all at good old Valley High for starting me off on the right foot.
