Heather's Story
Life
I joined classmates for one reason, to possibly meet my half brother Joshua. I only know that he is older than me, and that my father was too far into drugs and the party lifestyle to be a father. Well that didn't stop him when he became my father. Him and my drug addict mother broke up when I was just a baby.
Both continued to abuse drugs. My mother, my sister Summer and I were in and out of shelters, and sleazy sec.8 apartments where she still continued to abuse drugs and her children. She over dosed a few times, and beat me till I had so many marks on my body that people started to take notice. We ran away a few times. Meanwhile my father lived in Minnesota with his new wife and one biological daughter and two of her children. I did get to visit him there a few times and I loved it. I would have so much fun I didn't want to go home.
One year, a few days before my birthday while I was there visiting, a police officer came to the door and arrested my dad. Tammy his wife, told all of us that he went in for a ticket and he would be out soon. So I flew home and a few years later when my sister and I were about to be taken away from my mother I found out that my Dad would be in prison for nine years and I couldn't go live with him. He wasn't in jail, but in prison, it wasn't a ticket, it was conspiracy to manufacture meth, with inte...Expand for more
nt to sell. So when the time came that my sister and I would be taken away, when my mother got so far into drugs and prostitution that we were just a speed bump in her way, my sister went with her father, and I went to live with my dad's sister my aunt Jamie. Who little did I know, was on drugs herself.
Then when the drugs took over my aunt's life and she was facing jail for credit card fraud I went to live with my dad's mother Barbara. By this time I was 14 and so jaded that I didn't do well living with my grandma. I rebelled and ran away.
When my family caught up with me we all thought it best that I went to live with my uncle David and aunt Dawn and their four kids, my cousins. All went well after that. I excelled in school I became the captain of the cheerleading squad, I got to keep in touch with my sister Summer, and I won all kinds of school awards. My senior year I got strait A's and the principals award. I also got outstanding achievement in fire science, I wanted to be a firefighter like my uncle David.
Anyhow, what is important is now I am doing great and so happy. There is just one thing missing and that is my brother Joshua. Now that I am married with a beautiful son my life feels so complete, but it isn't. If you ever read this, Kim Blazey/Adams please consider telling Joshua that I am his sister and want to meet him.
