Michael's Story
After graduation, I joined the United States Coast Guard and served 4 years. My first 2 years were at the small boat station in Miami Beach, Florida where I worked on search and rescue and law enforcement cases. US. When I got out of the Coast Guard in September of 2004, I moved back to Fullerton where I did a couple security type jobs which didn't really provide a very promissing future. That combined with the elevating cost of living caused me to move to the Northwest Arkansas area to a city called Fayetteville. I'm currently a Federal Police Officer for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs as well as a reserve Municipal Police Officer for a small town in Northwest Arkansas called Elkins.
