Life
what can i say but the eagle has always been my protector.I was NDN when NDN wasn't cool..became educated according to the western-euro standard..have two boys who are state wrestling champions and play college football..coach them in boxing ..should be around for next olympics 2012..went back to my native ways as i always knew the truth will do my spiritual journey of the sundance. I am metahnah on the one that has alot of mail. Continuing on my journey with a masters program at unlv in hospital admin and policy ..proactive as ndn educator and now see a need to become more vocal as an ndn leader in the health field. will one day run a hospital, where don't know but the journey will lead me there. Tah-ski-ska (red tail hawk) is really my ndn name given at birth by a powerful medicine man and as such has protected me many times in battle as i have lived a life as a warrior. I serve the ndn community as the director of education on the island of Hilo, Hawaii and arrange ceremonial events for decendants of many native american people, who have never left the islands. It allows me to visit and arrange for powerful wisdom of many native elders from the various tribes on the mainland. I will one day return to idaho to settle and share it with you as i have been adopted by the blackfoot tribe. currently working on directing and filming ndn film for sundance film festival for 2009. I consider my life journey much like that to Marco-Polo, only mine was to the indeginous people of america. If there ever was a movie to compare my journey to it would be the one with dustin hoffman called "little big man"..although i never was a good mormon..i hold kind thoughts to them as it was my people the Omaha that showed them kindness during their trials at what is referred to as "winter Qtrs" ..There would have been no Steve Young if my people hadn't given refuge from the mobs to Brigham Young. I always knew who i was and as the earth our mother is showing us thru nature , it is only fullfilling the prophecies of my elders so it is with this wisdom that i must stand up and protect the indeginous peoples way of life. It is the good experiences , good people of boise that i was able to return the good to other people along the way. my philosophy is that i will retain my nativeness and remained untamed in the world..build my lodge in montana with my blackfoot brother where all will be welcome in the beautiful setting of glacier national park area. I have been blessed by the Hopi priests, seen the skin-walkers of the Navajo and many phenomanons that western-euro scuffed at but have learned that i am one with the spirit who reveals much to me. Bullets have flown by me and i have been protected as I know my journey is sure and true. I try to live a life of non-materialism but rather one of inquiry, compassion, intrique as the great ones have. One day I will sit in council with Geronimo, Crasy Horse and others who remain nameless until then life is good. May all of you walk in beauty..with it all around and hear metahnah=birds singing at dawn, as i am of the bird clan of a people who descended from the mysterious people of the ohios often refered to as "the mound people" ..mysterious to some but not to me. oison. The creator has laid eagle wings in my hands as a way to remind me of my responsibities to the inhabitants of the four directions along with the powerful protections of these sacred items. Along the way many spiritual people have given me protection such as a grissly bear tooth which i wear around my neck so i do not fear as the creator makes a way for me. There is much to do to prepare a way for him and so i trust in his protection on my journey. Thanks to all who have been good to me at Capital as it was a very important part of my journey and helped me to see the invisible to do the impossible!
College
went to fort lewis college recieved two degrees, exercise sport science..native history...worked there full time.. unique school. very pretty setting ,expensive kinda going the way of vail as far as land prices. very nice to visit would highly recommend it. i lead a life of outdoors , moab , lake powell , grand canyon arches etc near by ..still go back but will be moving to vegas in january for masters program...until then getting my boxing coaching , judge, referee certification , also will be in British Columbia with my two sons for the north american native games to be held july 2008. i just help where there is a need of the native community and believe really in being a shadow leader , letting others develop what ever talents they might have. Humor is truelly the ice breaker..have many friends some i have not seen in years but when i am in different areas i always have a place to stay and visit. This has allowed for the growth of my children. I have four Sidiah Rolling Thunder, my oldest won state at 215, great role model, Farrah Tecumseh graduated with an associates degree from college 3.8 gpa 3wks before she graduated from high school, she will be going on to univ. of hawaii her great , great , great grand mother on my side was the first native physician women in 1860's, so she may be next,Oliver beletso(navajo medicine man name old one)finished fourth at state in wrestling as sophomore, aiming for undefeated and wants to wrestle in college so i got to provide for national tourneys, last but not least is metahnah=birds singing at dawn..all accounted for, although i am no longer with their mother who i highly respect..i was blessed with the highest degree of children who really made me a better citizen as the road could have taken the worst turn many times but they gave what it took to survive where so many other ndn warriors fell. seen alot bad things in my life ..friend of mine went down the other nite but they made me hold strong. They know i am with them always as i am the red-tail hawk. the journey is not over ..all are whole and beautiful as i present them to the world and the creator who watches over them. but it is to others that I need to get out and give back to the community where ever the horse of opportunity will take me ..aho! it is good and as the hawk flys so do I!!contact me as i am metahnah on the one that sounds or rhymes with wahoo and that is not the town in nebraska. In the pictures I posted , I am the one with the braids or was that brains..easy now..take it easy, gotta go work on the modern day smoke signal machine..if you get the riddle solved read again and you will be able to find me on the smoke signals i talked about.
