Desiree's Story
Life
I am married to a Poly alumni c/o 83. We have two chilidren, a daughter, 14 and a son, 9. Our children have been trained since they were toddlers on Poly pride. This year (2005) our daughter is a Freshman at Poly. She loves it. She is on the Fresh/Soph basketball team. Our kids keep us busy with lots of sports activities. I have worked for a law firm in Orange County for the past 8 years.
Update Septemer 2008
Our daughter is now a Senior at Poly. She is very much the social butterfly and our time revolves around her - of course. She's on Song (new version of cheer/yell/song & flag), dance team and The Rhoer Club (Sigma Gamma Rho Soroity, Inc.). In July we all traveled to ...Expand for more
Orlando Florida for a dance competition and an opportunity to receive a scholarship. Lots of fun and a great experience. She's a good student and works very hard. We're proud of her.
Our son is in the 7th grade and loves sports like most boys. Last year was his first time playing tackle football. We almost made it through the season injury free - back injury in the second to last game. He excells in basketball and cannot wait to play for who else... of course Poly. He's a good kid and has a great sense of humor.
Still married - going on 18 years now. Still live in Long Beach - Bixby Knolls. Still working for the same law firm in Orange County - 10 years now.
