*MY STORY*: Hi All. I'd love to hear how my fellow PRHS graduates have been doing since 1965! Here's what I've been doing.: I left S.I. to go to college at SUNY New Paltz in June of 1965. After college graduation, I settled down in Poughkeepsie, NY. Grad School, kids, career. I go back to Staten Island to visit family frequently. My kids are grown up now and I am heading for retirement quickly. Maybe by the time I'm 65? That would be in 2013. Yikes. (If I can hold out that long.) I left teaching and went into Real Estate 27 years ago. (1984) Probably not a good decision, financially. But, A good one, in every other way. I did not like teaching. Being in a classroom by 7:30AM was not my cup of tea. Real Estate has kept me busy up until recently. We have been in a doldrum, from 2007-2010 (Now). So, as Real Estate has slowed down, so have I. Maybe the timing is perfect? I'm now 62. I would love to hear from any of you who graduated from Port Richmond HS around 1965 or SUNY New Paltz around 1969.
