Thomas's Story
Couldn't decide what I wanted to be when I grew up so, after graduating from the University of Kentucky in 1970 spent 25 years in the Army, retiring as a colonel. Since eating is the hardest of all habits to break, I found a job near Fort Leavenworth, KS (my last duty station) and went into the personal lines insurance business. Spent 18 years in various management positions with Armed Forces Insurance, a small ($150M) but national writer, specializing in military insurance (a small version of USAA, only 35 years older). Retired 2012 as CEO and Chairman.

the same girl since Dec 1970 (Candy), two children: Adam (1973) lives in Austin, TX - a 2x tour Iraq vet and now an infantry major in the TX National Guard, father of Finn (2015) and Lauren (1976) mother of 4 (Claire, 2004; Hayden, 2006; Reid, 2008 and Amelia, 2010) married to an investment analyst for a Mellon company (Justin), lives in Wellesley Hills, MA.
Reasonable health for a guy my age. The Kansas City area is one of the best kept secrets in the country. So, if you're ever planning a trip out this way give me a holler - good steaks, cold beer. Life is good!
