Diana's Story

Life I have two (2) children (a son, and daughter), and six (6) gorgeous grandchildren. This bowls me over, because I' still remain eternally young! Ha! Ha! My second passion is "ME" -- only joking! I have been Blessed artistically -- paint (watercolor), sketch fine art (pen and ink), Beading and Jewelry Design. As of this past Sept., I retired, and am currently pursuing my passions-- especially jewelry design. I love creating, and have been Blessed immensely. I also enjoy reading, studying my Bible (yes, pray tellllll! Ha! Ha!). Enjoy learning new things, and really like sports. Boston will always be home to me, regardless of where my path leads me. For several years, I had worked at the Venetian Hotel, and my dream to retire has come to fruition. Am returning (to Virginia) helping out my daughter -- caring for my three juvenile delinquents. Only joking! Children are amazing, and my middle sponge (Julia)absorbs all of my creating. So, we really enjoy being with each other. I TRULY LOVE them all dearly. Our recent endeavor happens to be sculpting clay, and there is nothing like mentoring. My adventures continue to fall under the category of what will tomorrow bring. This past summer had an opportunity to visit with my son, and his family. He has three (3) daughters. Blessings! I am never bored, and my creativity is my friend also. I would love to take a cruise sometime with my daughter, and also have an opportunity to visit my parents' homeland (Madeira, Portugal) -- amongst many places. Would also like to visit Maui (Botanical Gardens) -- inspirational for my photography, and painting and artwork. Oddly enough, my daughter shares my love of photography also, and does very well. I am "Still crazy after all these years!" I just love to laugh, and to joke wi...Expand for more
th people. My serious sideee happens to love the arts (theatre, good movies, music, dancing, and etc.). Enjoy communicating with all kinds of people. It never ceases to amaze me how much we can learn from each other. My MOM use to say, "People from different countries do all have commonalities. You have good and bad in every nationality!" I miss her dearly, but she always remains a burning amber's reflection in my heart. My favorite words of wisdom happen to be: "THE JOURNEY OF ONE THOUSAND MILES BEGINS WITH A SINGLE STEP." AMEN! I've experienced so much in my life, and believe that we are all sojourners. "LIFE IS FRAGILE -- HANDLE WITH PRAYER". I think that the secret of being happy comes from within one's self. Instead of being so analytical, I choose to watch other people (and listen) -- there is always someone worse off, or another in better shape. Who knew! Ahem! Need I forget to say -- "I've turned into my MOTHER". Ha! Ha! This too is good, because she definitely left an imprint on this/my world. The miracle of living successfully has to be being able to touch other's lives. It's important to remove the rose colored glasses, or the trifocles, and clear one's vision. A smile does not have a price tag attached to it, and it sure beats the alternative. My Blessings go with you all! "Smile, the first one hundred (100) years are the hardesgt! The rest is a piece of cake." Ha! Ha! No, I'm not Polyanna/or Serandipity reincarnated, but I am a realist. I've seen it all, and that's not overstepping the boundaries. "One day at a time, for the evil of the day is enough to suffice for itself." Praise Jesus! Well, ta ta and thanks for the visit! It was nice talking to you again. Regards, Greetings and Salutations! Smile, it always keeps 'em guessing!!!! DIANA
