I have worked in a non profit agency for 8 years. I am the Finance Asst. We provide counseling services for children up to 18 and their families. We also have emergency shelter for children who are runaway's, throw aways, etc. It is very gratifying to make a difference in a child'...Expand for more
s life. We are funded by state and government grants and donations. The cuts have been awful. The governement and state don't seem to think that drug and crime prevention programs for children are important. We need to get to them before the system does. We CAN help, if we get there first.
