Diana's Story
I am a General Contractor in NYC. My partner and I build small residential/commercial buildings in Brooklyn. Our company also does renovations both major and minor, however most of our revenue comes from our own developments. I've been in this industry for the last 15 years as a builder but was involved previously owning my own painting company. I left my employment on Wall Street shortly after the crash of 1987 and have been somewhat self employeed since. w on her way to college come September, and live with her and my 92 year old mother in Pawling NY. I will save the rest of the story for our class reunion. Fast forward 4 years, i have become a grandmother of the cutest baby on earth. My mother, now going on 96 still lives with me, continuing to drive and participate in senior groups throughout the week. I still commute to Brooklyn, but we are now developing properties in Troy NY. Much easier commute and friendlier atmosphere for building. I hope to retire to Chincoteague Island, hopefully by the time I am 70. I am currently building a modest home on the island.
