Diana's Story

Life hello, just a quick update ..... I was married to Howard Erickson for 29 years till he died in 1996 from cancer. I have 3 kids.. Brooke is 40, Justin 37 and Elizabeth is 25! I also have two wonderful grand children.. Megan(10) and Joshua(7)however if I add my step children's children I have 15 grandchildren that I love and 6 great grandchildren! We moved to Kent in 1970 and have been here since. I have never made it to a reunion previously but I'm so grateful I made it to our 40th! I am now working for the Kent School District and I love it, I have a terrific job and have found my niche!! My latest addition to my day is raising my 7 year old grandson, Joshua. He is living with me permanently now and certainly has changed my life drastically! I'm glad I got to enjoy my "golden years" for a couple of years!! LOL!! Sadly his parents are both are not fit parents so like many other Grandparents in this day and age I am raising him...Expand for more

Id love to talk to you!! Workplace I have had a few jobs since graduation.. I was lucky enough to be a stay at home Mom with my kids for many years and now I have a fabulous job working with kids and families in the Kent School District.. this is what I love doing and I really cant imagine doing anything else. I have recently quit my second job and am looking forward to spending more time with my grandson and raising him. Funny thing is my boss at my second job said it was no problem letting me go as an employee because now I will still be working for them but for free!! It is with Communities In Schools of Kent a non profit organization that works to keep kids in school and focused. Now I am a board member instead of an employee!! LOL!!
