Diana's Story

Ok, 1976, I married David Zaretzka, had two beautiful daughters (Kimberly & Amy), stayed married 17.8 yrs. Amazing I didn't die! That's a story in itself! The beautiful Diana you all knew was an illusion! It turned out I had a tumor in my head which changed my facial features. :-( Another story! I also have two grandsons (Anthony & Cj) and expecting my 1st granddaughter in Oct '08!! Yeah! I have a published picture (Mr Holliwood") in the book "Illusions of Reality". My poem "My Lord, My Love" will soon be published in a book of poetry. I only have couple friends due to the lack of wanting drama. I enjoy time with family, gardening( roses, other flowers, tomatoes & herbs), crafts and reading. I enjoy playing games at clubpogo. I am "jammasucqbis1957". Life has been a big learning lesson for me. I've learned to be me. It's okay to be me. Just because I am quiet doesn't mean take me for granted. When pushed into a corner, I will fight back! Our Lord put me here for a reason so I'm fighting back to stay here. I battle arthritis and any leftover stuff from that tumor which was removed 7/92. I get to look forward to high blood pressure, hi everything. I just recently "retired" from KFC(again & for good). Time to relax or at least try. My biggest surprise was the tumor and how much my facial features changed over time. I don't look anything like that young beautiful girl. I try not to linger on that one. To be truly happy, I need to lose alot of weight(leftover from tumor~~ thanks tumor!). Ok, the tumor was near my pituatary gland(the one controls your growth). If I would've had it as a baby, I would've grown really tall, like Andre the Giant and not lived as long as I have so far!! Saved again! I still haven't flown anywhere! I love San Diego but it's getting so expensive. If I could convince my hubby to move elsewhere, I would probably move to Oregon, Wyoming, Montana, maybe Idaho. Out from school, I was going to do "computer programing"~~ wish I had stuck to the plan! But things got sidetracked from getting pregnant. Maybe... one day...Then my youngest & I have a dream..maybe one day own a small eatry in a somewhat small town. We both can cook. I have the hospitality/customer service experience while she's working on the manager experience while pregnant. We'd love to bring the Mexican/Asian/American enjoyment to a small town. My hubby would be a mechanic or do something with his hands. My son-in-law would be a handyman or hardwood floors guy. Know any small towns needing such people? LOL My eldest & her hubby would be the last thing you need coming outta life....burial kinda thing. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Euel Leonard, because he seemed to know me the best..he was my boyfriend for a short time. At first, we found out it wasn't our first time meeting!! We were in 4th grade with the same teacher together! We broke up because communication problems... we were young.. Which teacher would I like to see again? Hmmm.. Mr. Bob West..he was interesting, funny and laidback. Mr. Jennings... same thing! I was his assistant...haha My style? My own still! Super casual...LOL hardly wear real shoes... Weirdest job? ok... around 5:30 pm, you get home, the phone rings and you answer it..the person on the phone tries to convince you that your insulation is inferior and you need to have an apointment to have it appraised to be replaced!! That was me calling! I hated HATED that job. I share my home with my youngest with her hubby and son, which I find at times to be overwhelming. Trophies? Hahahaha...my daughters thought they were being funny in 1996! They gave me one"#1 Mom/Gladiator"..LOL I'll leave that one to your imagination. Do-overs? Someone didn't learn from life! There aren't any "do-overs"~~~~ it's all a big learning lesson...make a mistake/ live with it and don't repeat it. My oldest friend~~~ I had left David in 1985, but he moved back in smoothly without real approval. We were living in an old motel where they had small cottages. I noticed there was another woman with small children across the way. Soon, we became friends playing "bones", calling each other foul names and all..LOL Her name is "Daisy". Why did I leave David? Well he had a mistress~~ meth! She was...Expand for more
mine too for almost 4 years but I quit and he didn't want to either. He was more interested in beating/controling me. Our Lord didn't save me when I was born to be beaten & controled like a pet. I was also losing myself, my spirit, my soul being with him. To this day, I can't stand it when a male uses a very LOUD VOICE near me. NEVER AGAIN!!! One thing I really enjoyed? Those of you who lived in CV the last three years and went to eat at the 3rd & "H" KFC, would've met me as the front counter person! On occasion, I helped with the drive-in window too. Before CV, I was at the Pt. Loma KFC for couple years. It was kinda funny the first week there, I was helping with the DT, I looked out the window to greet the customer and I heard "hey! I know you from IB!!". Yup, true. From 1997-2002, I worked IB's KFC, as a driver to become known as the "delivery queen". There weren't very many women drivers back then, ya know? One night, a young driver asked for directions to a certian apartment in a complex. I gave them to him in such detail as the wreath on the door! When he returned, he proclaimed me as the "delivery Queen". LOL The kids in apartment complexes called me "the chickenlady". From 2003-2005, I was a delivery driver for CarQuest. From chicken parts to auto parts, back to chicken parts!! LOL I did enjoy my job for the most part as front counter. I was for a couple years a shift supervisor in IB but my body couldn't take it anymore. Over the years, I had to learn to cut back on my hours. I was at 4 hrs per day,5 days a week when I left. Met some wonderful people amoungst the obnoxious ones. I really like making sure people was satisfied when they left. I did learn Spanish again...chicken Spanish. You know parts!! Pechugas, muslos, alas y piernas! Papas fritas, purra papas, col salad(that's how they said "coleslaw"). When I walked outside, I couldn't speak a word!! LOL except "basura"~~ trash! hahaha and muchas gracias.(ty Ms McGill!) I did leave a legency behind....my youngest daughter, Amy, works there as an evening shift supervisor. She has the same beliefs as myself for serving customers. What other jobs did I try? Ok, you know about the telemarketer one...eww. Lasted 2 days!!! LOL not a job for a shy person! I was a CNA(Certified Nursing Assistant) mostly on for almost ten years. During those ten years, I also was a CNA/RNA(Restorative Nurse Assistant), where I got to torture the old folks with exercise after a surgery. That was between 1982-1994(off & on for both). I was hurt by a mentally challeneged patient in 1991, had therapy, then returned as a home companion. I had to quit for the saftey of my patient...rough divorce...crazy ex turned stalker. Craziest thing I did in school? Well, I have to explain...I arrived to BVH, in the midst of 10th grade, a wallflower, wearing mostly jeans. I didn't have a locker in 10th grade and Andrea Alonzo noticed that I was carrying all my books to each class and offered her locker. That was so sweet. She was my first friend at BVH. In the middle of 11th grade, I happen to wear a very short dress, as I came out of the office, a teacher commented on how well I looked in a dress and how I should do it more often. I took the advise. The dresses I wore went from very short to very long, almost colonial type(it was my favorite long). The beginning of the 12th grade had me vowing that things would be different...no more wallflower! I think it was "Senior week", I dressed as a cowgirl, a stylist 40s girl and a 50s girl. I think did suprise some folks..July 19,2010 changed my life again. Not only is it my son-in-law,Paul's 40th birthday, I got drank for the last time. I had a brain incident happen that date. I had blood drainage on the left side so I couldn't fly to see my Mother or twinsy, I had to take a train in October 2010. My last gson,Jacob, turned 1 on Nov 12,2010, while the eldest turned 19 on May 2,2010. The two middles, Cj Milligan turned 5 on the 4th of Dec,2010 while his li'l' sis, Alexis. turned 2 on Oct 30th,2010! So, 2010 had alot of 1sts : plane ride in over 40 yrs, train ride ever and all the "0" ending birthdays! I'm not crossed eyed anymore and I can drive but I am a diabetic now. Plus no more drinking for me. Happy holidays to all!
