Diana's Story
After graduation, I worked for the WV Dept of Commerce, Planning & Research Division. After the birth of my first son I moved to Darlington, SC. I worked for Union Carbide for four years until the birth of my second son. I started working for an Industrial Distributor in 1976 for 16 years. They were sold to another company who went into receivership in August, 1992. Myself and 4 other partners created our own company (Atlantic Tooling, Inc.) in September, 1992. We will have been in business 17 years in Sept. God has been good to this company and blessed us all. My children are grown and married with children of their own. I divorced in 1990 and remarried in 1996. My husband Mike Tanner and I have 6 children between us and 11 grandchildren. We spend our weekends at Lake Marion (just a short 50 minute ride from Florence, SC) and are joined quite often by one or more of the grandchildren (of course, t...Expand for more
hey must bring their parents)! I am retired and stay busy. I spend my days in my flower garden(s), boating, playing golf, and taking piano lessons (see, it's never too late!) My life has been very blessed with friends, family and most of all my wonderful husband, Mike. God has richly blessed me! Diana
Addendum: October 2019 we sold the lake house and now live full time in Florence SC. Mike mom is 94 and still is in her home. Since she doesn’t drive we spend a great deal of time taking her to appointments, shopping and just being there for her. We are blessed to have her still with us. Children are getting older. Grandchildren are growing up😔. It’s great to watch them grow and develop their personality. We are still doing some traveling. We figured we have been 2/3 the way around the world. Still there is no place like home. Our trips are a bit shorter these days. Just nice to sleep in our own bed. 😁
