Diane Allegood's Story
I have been married twice and divorced. My last husband died several years ago of brain cancer... So am I a divorcee or widow >>> I still work full time I could retire but I do not want to yet because I live alone except for my little dogs so I enjoy seeing and being around people.. I am not a loner but a people person... When I was in school I was very shy but when I married my second husband he was such a cut up that I guess some of his
sense of humor rubbed off on me so here I am today.. I have had a strange work career. I went to work
out of high school at the local bank. got married and moved to Albany. Went to work with Kaiser Agriculture Chemical Regional Accounting office
when I was 21 yrs old. worked there 18 years and they deceied to close the division down to 8 locations and then couple of years later they sold those 8.I could have moved to Savannah with them and finished my other 2 years and got my full retired and been 40 yrs old. But did not want to leave my new husband (bad move) then i went to work with liquor wholesale company worked 2 yrs then went out of business, then i went to work with mortgage company for mobile homes worked 2 years then went out of business, I worked for a farm accounting firm for 2 yrs and then c...Expand for more
losed the Albany office and just had the one office in north Ga. Then a fork lift place for 1 year and they closed.. By this time when i went on a job intereview they said they were scared to hire me because their company might go out of business. ha ha. Then I went to work with auto parts chain (accounting office) I worked there 1 yr then they sold the entire chain of stores to another company so i worked another 1 year with new company then they closed Albany office and moved it to Greenville. So out of job again. Then I went to work for the Probate Court at the local courthouse. I worked there 2 years. My job was to handle wills when people died and probated it.plus birth certificates, death certificates and mariage license. Then I transfered to the Clerk of Courts office and have been there 16 years. Again I handle accounting and legal stuff...I do not think the courthouse is going out of business because Criminals are not slowing down breaking the law.. So my work history has been like a roller coaster but i survived. I do not have any children so I adopted me 2 grndchildren (more fun but not the headaches). I love going to the beach, swimming and jet skiing. Love dancing and movies too..
