Diane's Story
Life as of 2014
I now live back in Livermore, Ca.
My daughter Elizabeth, was born in 1980, attended Granada High, was involved in sports and played saxophone in band, she graduated in 1998 and is studying to become a teacher and working full time. She just got married on August 4, 2012, It was Awesome!
My son, Doby, born in 1987, also attended Granada High. He was also in the band as a trombone player, he graduated in June 2005. He just graduated from San Francisco State with a BS in Zoology with a specialization in Microbiology. He is now out there in the big cruel world trying to find employment.
School
Went to Terra Nova High School - and except for Senior Year of Music, loved every minute of it. Our senior year, Mr. Bentley took a Sabbatica...Expand for more
l which was most unfortunate for us seniors. We had a substitute who ruined what should have been our best year. He was really REALLY BAD!!!
Other than that, I enjoyed High School - yeah, I know, I'm nuts, my kids remind me of that often!
Attended Jr. College during last 2 years of High School - After graduation - went on to SF State, as well as 2 other Jr. Colleges, completed AA Degree in Music in 78. Received BA in Social Studies. I love to study - My kids think I am nuts.
Work
Started work at Western Electric in Sunnyvale,California in 1977. Transferred to AT&T after divestiture in 1984. Was laid off in 1992 and rehired in 1996, only to be laid off yet again in 2002 while out on permanent disability, after completing my 25 yr. anniversary..
