Diane's Story
After Bill retired in 2001, we had decided to travel a bit more. The day after Easter of 2002, April 1st. We went to California, saw 1 of Bill's sons & went to see his daughter, my darling stepdaughter, Dana. Her husband was in the Navy for 23 years. His retirement got put off about 6 months because of the war in Iraq. He was a mechanic, in charge of the other mechanics, on the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln. In the meantime his wife & 4 boys had to move to Florida without him. They built a new home in Florida.
We've had a very interesting 11 years.

es we drive, & other times we go by bus. We'd fly but then we'd have to meet deadlines & if we want to stop someplace of interest, then we don't have to keep to a schedule. We've flown to quite a few places in fact at 1st when Bill mentioned going by Dana & Tyler I was going to make plane reservations, but it worked out much better by us driving.
I've worked on & off. The last I worked was in May of 1993. Then I wondered how I kept up with all the running I had to do for the children & kept the working hours I had.
Now we enjoy the grandchildren & taking off, whenever we want to go.
