Diane's Story
Hi Everybody! Well, it looks like we are having another class reunion. It's hard to believe it's been 40 years! That's just crazy!!
Anyway, there is something I want to let people know about before the reunion so I don't have to talk about it then.
Some of you might have already heard about this, you know how news travels, but for those of you who haven't, a little over three years ago, my son passed away at the age of 30. He had been sick and the doctors had him on lots of medication. Despite my continuous warnings of the fact that he shouldn't drink while taking those medications, he decided to do it anyway. He told me, "I know what I am doing, Mom." Famous last words. One night after having some drinks, he went to sleep and never woke up again.

y never to be repaired. He was such a special person. Everybody loved him! I was "Dan's Mom" & my daughter, Christina was " Dan's sister." Does that tell you anything? I still can't believe he's gone!
I thought after I lost my kid's father many years ago, that I would never have to go through anything so devastating again. Silly me! I was oh so wrong! We are not supposed to out live our children!!!
So now it's just me and Christina. She is planning her wedding for July of this year. Maybe our little family will grow some when she has her children. That will be nice.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know so I don't have to explain at the reunion. I'd rather not spend the reunion crying. That wouldn't be very much fun!
