Diane's Story
I graduated from Atascadero High in 1972 and during the next ten years I went to Cuesta and BYU, worked and traveled. I met Blaine while he was going to Cal Poly as an architect student and married him in 1982. In the ten years following we had four children. By doing daycare I was able to stay at home with my kids for a few years. When my time freed up, I did home school for a couple of years with a daughter who had a reading disability and son who had ADD. lab here in Santa Rosa, as manager of the mail room. It's a great job, but being there at 7 a.m. is a bit tough considering I've always been a bit of a night owl. I've only one boy left in school and he's into rugby, so we go to a lot of rough and tumble games. The sport is a lot of fun but also very scary (as a mom) to watch.
I never see anyone I know in Atascadero when I visit my parents. Where did everyone go?
Along with all the other blessings in my life, I have two beautiful grandsons and three loving doggies. Life is good.
