Diane Bergeron:

CLASS OF 1969
Brockton, MA

Diane's Story

Hello everyone!!!! I have lived away from Mass. since 1988. During my high school year's, as a lot of you knew, I was dating Glenn Dyment and we were childhood sweethearts from our sophmore through senior year's. Got engaged just after graduating and then married in 1971, had two boys and one girl, married for 24 year's, and sorry to say ended up in a divorce in 1995. We are still civil to one another and Glenn is remarried and living in Texas. I have one granddaughter who is 9 month's old and am currently living with my daughter, son in law, and granddaughter in North Carolina. Helping them out, taking care of baby, as daddy is finishing up his duty as a Marine here. He is due to get in OCT., but has not made a final decision on whether to re-enlist or not. So everything is on hold right now!! I do hope to attend our 40th reunion and Lord willing it will be my first one to attend!!!! I have lived in the South, Southwest, and Alaska over the past year's with no regrets, and loved all the travels and sights, different cultures, etc. that I have lived in. I hope my old friend's from class remember me as a quiet, honest, funny, and sincere girl. I am not the same person in many ways. I now know who I am, know what I want and am a very happy, loving, compassionate, passionate, goodlistener, mentor, teacher, and love people of all culture's and am not prejudice. Accept others for who they are without judgements and love life and take nothing for granted. My favorite way to relax is to read, mostly Christian books, and listen to my music, or go to the water...Expand for more
,ocean, lake,or river. The water gives me such tranquility and peace. I love nature and take the time to smell the roses, so to speak!! Yes, I do have a special man in my life and our relationship is great, but taking our time and not rushing into anything. He lives in Orlando,Florida, is a widow and a great gentleman!!! The wildest thing I ever did in school was cut class one day and took off for the Cape, wrote a letter and signed my moms name to it!!! Yes, that was wrong, but did tell her year's later, haha!!! I also went to the CYO dances at the Catholic church on Friday nights and was too shy to ask that special guy to dance with me, so pretty much ended up either watching from the side, or danced with my girl friends. But just seeing his face, made my night!! Do you know who you are?? Actually their were two guy's from class that I had bad crushes on in Jr.High, before dating Frank Zeoli for a year!! He was always respectful and sweet to me and was my first love, so to speak. Boy, talk about memory lane!!! I had many friends in school and hope to see many. Still have my best friend, Becky Crowell, since the age of 12, in my life and she is like a sister to me. True friendship is when you can still connect with someone, no matter where you are, at any time. I hope this gives you some idea of who I am now, much more expressive than ever, but in a loving and respectable way, always. I invite any of my classmates to correspond with me and look forward to it!! May God bless you all, and hope to see you soon! Sincerely, Diane Dixon Bergeron
