Diane Gaskill:  

Diane’s education is in mechanical engineering (UC Berkeley) and managing the development of technical documentation (UC Santa Cruz). She began her technical writing career in the U.S. Navy, where she served as a P3 aircrew member and occasional pilot for 4 years, and as a senior aircrew instructor at Moffett Field for another 4 years, where she developed and taught courses to new aircrews on the ground and in the air. Since leaving the Navy, Diane has worked for several large companies (HP, Hitachi, Google, Cisco, and others,) as well as several startups. She has worn many hats, including management of technical publications, training, and technical support, and has significant experience in localization, usability, hardware design, and software development. Diane has extensive experience in a wide range of technologiesand helped invent things that have made a significant impact to the world including the CPU, ultrasound, CT-scanners, and 3D graphics for the PC and smart phones.
