Life Georgia on my mind... I am no longer living in California, and I am not sure how I feel about this yet. Last year my husband and I relocated to Georgia because of his job transfer. The move happend so fast, and in many ways I still feel as though I am recovering from the shock of such a drastric change. Adjusting to life in the South has been quite an experience. Our lack of a southern drawl makes us stick out like a sore thumb. I do, however, catch myself saying, "hey y'all," from time to time. A new friend of mine and I had a good laugh one time when I called her. Before I could say, "This is Diane," she knew who it was. I said, "Hello," and she said, "Well hello Diane." I said, "How did you know it was me?" She laughed and said, "You are the only person I know who talks without a southern accent."
