Diane's Story
Life
Hi Ya'll I am in Georgia with my husband of thirty nine years, wonderfully happy and it shows. We have four grandchildren all boys. Caleb, Ethan, Alex and Dustin I love boys...smile..so I am now known as Grammy and to me there is no sweeter word. My husband is a Doctor and I have retired my Labor and Delivery skills and stay at home with Dustin our twenty three year old grandson. The LORD has truly blessed me with a wonderful life and to him be the GLORY! We get home to Blacksburg some, not a lot and I get kinda sad each time I go to see all the changes they have made. The place I grew up (HI-TOP) is gone and has been replaced with a highway. All of the homes have been plowed under and nothing left but the memories. I sure have those. I have so many fond memories of all my classmates. So...Expand for more
me of which are gone now. Oh my can you believe that we are pushing 70(truly hard to grasp) until of course you have your knees and hands talking to you. Or, you read the paper from home to find someone else has had a mom or dad or family member to go. As I look out the window here to see the fall of the year, I get lonely for all the wonderful times we had when we were care free. And I close my eyes and say a little prayer for all the people I have left behind. Meaning you all my friends. Fall isn't as beautiful in Georgia as it is in Virginia, that's when I find myself longing to go back if just for a second. I truly loved high school and each of you. Special time of my life. So, know if you read this one day that you were thought of often and loved by this big one and God Bless You. Diane
