Diane's Story
After CHS 75, graduated from Choffin as an LPN (licensed practical nurse)and worked for a few years at Northside & Southside Hospitals. I left Y-Town in mid 1982 (wow--last century!)..for Houston and worked in nursing at a community hospital. Am now employed at the #1 cancer center in the US--MD Anderson Cancer Center as a nurse liaison. I travel throughout the greater Houston area promoting the services of this wonderful institution to community physicians. I love what I do. Personally, I live in a small (5000) town 50 miles SW of Houston and have been married to an extraordinary man (Gordon) for 7 years now. travel. We are just starting to build our retirement home in the Texas Hill Country. My 2 siblings (photo above)are still in Ytown along with 5 nieces/nephews. Life has been great. I am richly blessed. See ya on facebook! Well, change happens. Hubby retired but called back for a few months as a contractor. Sold our 'old' home and bought a 33 ft long 5th wheel RV to reside in until moving to the Texas Hill Country in a few months. I may also be retiring in the spring. Will see how much I can handle in the RV LOL. When and if retirement happens for me as soon, will look forward to traveling around the country!!! See you on the road! Oh and am now a great aunt as my oldest niece Marcie (brother Chuck's daughter) and her husband welcomed a son Noah nearly a year ago.
