Diane's Story
Since graduation I felt that a degree in sociolgy and the world of people might be very rewarding. I found it overworked and a bit hopeless and the art department one floor down was far more interesting. Career wise I stayed in Corvallis after graduation and worked in the design side of newspaper and dearly loved my job at the English Language Institute. It opened up the world to me and in turn I travelled to Asia.
Marriage took me to the Bay area, and my last great career angle was with AirTouch Cellular working in the fraud division just as the gadgets were getting much smaller...the company has since gone from Vodaphone to Verizon and at this time I no longer carry a phone much less have a clue how to load it with information...I can barely find the right button to answer them these days hahaha.

ill require my patience to home school her for junior high since her British International School only goes to primary 8 - our equivalent to 6th grade. We live on a compound in Yuzhno Sakhalin Russia. My husband is on the commissioning team for an LNG plant at the point of the island nearest to Hokkaido Japan. It has been exhilarating living here. To step out and walk on an ocean a foot thick is something I could not have imagined ever doing...but thinking about how my ankles would turn blue stepping into the Pacific on the Brookings side...it isn't too unreasonable.
